Even as I type this, I’m wondering what in the world I think I’m doing.  What business do I have starting a blog?  Who would possibly be interested in anything that I have to say?

…and even as I type this, I think I have an answer.  I think it’s time to start a blog for myself.  This is the year that I’ve decided to start living with no regrets, to face my fears, and live intentionally to make this world I live in a better place…somehow.  I’m not very clear on what that means exactly.  I do know that I need to fight through my anxiety and depression and a desperate desire to hide away and isolate myself.  Facing fear…ignoring the urge to hit delete and abandon this whole crazy blog idea.

My name is Kelly.  I am a visual artist who plays with mixed media…assemblage and collage.  Basically, I make stuff!  Textiles, paint, cardboard, canvas, wood, objects pulled from the trash and found out in the world.  I’m also a homemaker and homeschooling Mom to four kids…ages 8 to 22.

Hello world!  It’s time for me to start my adventure…an expedition into community.
